The tests

The center  makes hard efforts in performing  its lab works for different construction  materials which are used in construction projects through its central and sub labs and field labs inside the projects sites

First : testing of construction materials :-

- Cement , gypsum, sand

- Marble , tile, flag , blocks, brick in its different kinds , stone , kerbs

- Concrete , its products and admixture

- Content ratio tests for ( stone , sand , concrete )

- Water that used in construction materials

- Paint tests and it s materials

- Aggregate tests

- Cement concrete tests

- Concrete mixture design

- Reinforced  steel

Second : road tests :

The center has an active role in the field of road construction such as :

- Conducting the lab and in situ tests for different materials that used in road construction  
   with high precision  and experience

- Giving technical recommendations for different road problems

- Specifying the way of treatment the damaged roads

Its  tests :

1- Asphalt products tests :

- Cement Asphalt tests

- Mastic tests

- Polymer felt tests

-Prime coat and tag coat tests

 - Emulsified asphalt test

2- in situ tests for roads

- Determining of in situ density for soil and compaction ratio

- Regularity test for asphalt pavement

- Thickness and compaction ratio test for asphalt concrete pavement  layers

3-soil & gravel  stone tests :

- C.B.R. test

- Sieve analysis  test

4- asphalt concrete tests :

- Asphalt mixture design by Marshall way

- Stability test

- Creep test

- The density of Asphalt Concrete sample  which prepared by Marshall way

- Sieve analysis test

- Asphalt ratio tests

- Void test in mastic

5- Joint sealant tests

- Hardness test

- Deformation test

The center's aims

1- conducting the lab tests for all construction materials , soil tests , the required
     tests for construction works and present technical consultation .

2- make the applied researches to find the best means in construction works through
     coordinating with the specialized sides

3- documentation the scientific  sources , publishing and periodical which issued by
     local and international institutes that concern the center's activities .

4- developing the technical efficiency in the field of quality control for researches .

5- make contract with the other sides for special services by conducting the lab tests
    and other works .

6- make contracts with government's institutes and other sections , consulting
     bureaus to achieve its aims .

7- publishing the researches which are made by the center and distributing them on
    the concerned sides to get benefits .

8- organizing the courses to train and qualify the engineers and technical staff

9- make a library consists of sources , publishing  and periodicals which concern the
     activities of the center .
